Favorite Team: New York Mets
Where are you from (or Hometown)?: Brooklyn, New York
What would your walk-up song be?: “Regulate”-Warren G & Nate Dogg
If you could have dinner with any 3 active baseball players, who would they be? Albert Pujols, Miguel Cabrera, Madison Bumgarner
If you could make any changes to today’s game of baseball, what changes would you make?: First change I’d make is trying to modernize the game-speed up pace of play, universal DH, shorter schedule, ideally 140-154 games. Second, I would change how Baseball players are marketed and try to re-engage baseball with the black community. Black kids have stopped playing baseball for a variety of reasons but one of them is the marketing and the representation in baseball is really poor. Baseball needs its next Ken Griffey Jr., or even better its Tiger Woods. That transcendent black superstar. I think MLB missed the mark in the 90s by not fully embracing the burgeoning Hip Hop culture. I think black kids want to gravitate to a young, charismatic black superstar.
