The 2020 MLB Draft was an exciting one for Chicago’s very own, Ed Howard. The 18-year-old shortstop out of Mount Carmel High School was drafted by the Chicago Cubs with the 16th overall pick.
Despite not having a senior season due to the pandemic, Howard was regarded as a top shortstop in the draft class. Mount Carmel Head Coach, Brian Hurry, was kind enough to join me to talk about Howard and what it feels like to have another one of his players selected to the MLB.
